Important Dates
April 16th, 2024: Last day to register to vote
April 17th, 2024: Advance by mail ballots begin mailing
April 27th, 2024: Advance Voting In-Person begins
May 2nd, 2024: Public test of voting equipment
May 6th, 2024: Advance In-Person Voting ends (12:00 Noon at the Election Office only)
May 7th, 2024: USD 500 Special Election (Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
May 9th, 2024: Selection of contests and precincts for post-election audit (10:00 a.m. until completed)
May 10th, 2024: Post-election audit (10:00 a.m. until completed)
May 16th, 2024: Canvass of the 2024 USD 500 Special Election (10:00 a.m. until completed)
May 17th, 2024: Post-election public test of voting equipment
May 17th, 2024: Recount request deadline (5:00 p.m.)
Voters in Wyandotte County have three options to vote:

Applications for advance by mail ballots are available online, and can be returned to our office by mail, fax, or e-mail.

Voters can visit one of our in-person early voting locations. A listing of Locations and Hours of Operation are available online.

On May 7th, 2024 you must visit your assigned Polling Place to vote on election day. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can find your assigned Polling Place by using the online voter look up tool Voter View.

Shall the following be adopted?
Shall Unified School District No. 500, Wyandotte County, Kansas (Kansas City), issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $420,000,000, to pay the costs to purchase and improve sites, to demolish certain existing facilities, and to acquire, construct, equip, furnish, repair, remodel and make additions to buildings used for school district purposes, and make all other necessary improvements related thereto, and to pay fees and expenses related thereto; all pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 10-101 et seq., K.S.A. 25-2018(f), K.S.A. 72-5457, and K.S.A. 72-5458 et seq.?
